Plugh 01-08-07, 11:22 PM	I see on the MoH pages that the current campaign level is 10, and the corresponding EV. MoH CS 3.0 says that each level bump is accompanied by a new standards doc. Something appears to have happened out of order, and it's raised a question during my character creation. I'm assuming (yeah, dangerous, I know) that Complete Mage will be a valid optional resource, but the "official" doc doesn't list it since it hadn't been published yet. Also, Complete Scoundrel is coming out soon, and I'm wondering if I should put off buying it until it's in an official campaign document somewhere. Should I save my money? Is there some guideline I can use to justify use of a released WotC book in any/certain campaigns?
Herrbard 01-08-07, 11:35 PM	I'm not anyone official, but I doubt you will see any other books added to Mark of Heroes, as the campaign is ending in another month at D&D Experience.
grahamdrew 01-09-07, 01:23 PM	Yes, you're right that things have gotten out of sync. No, you shouldn't assume that you can use any book not listed. Let me ask you this; when are you planning on playing this character? There are three modules left in the campaign, and two of them expire in about a week. If you're planning on playing EMH-14 and/or EMH-15, just talk to the DM. He probably knows what's up, and if there's something you're really itching to play it's not a big deal if you're not planning on playing at D&D Experience. If you're playing the finale at D&D Experience, you're stuck with what's on the list. At this point if you've never played Mark of Heroes before and are going to D&D Experience before I would avoid it and play something else instead, though. The finale probably isn't going to make too much sense without knowing the backstory, and about the time you figure everything out it'll be the end of the session and the campaign will literally be over. Play Xen'drik Expeditions, it has a future. The thing that really throws me about your question is the "should I put off buying it" part. Mark of Heroes is, for all intents and purposes, no longer an active campaign (despite what the web page may suggest). Like I said before, at this point you will have a maximum of three chances to play before it is ultimately retired. I wouldn't recommend purchasing ANY book to use expressly for Mark of Heroes at this point. Seriously, if you aren't already familiar with the campaign take a look at Xen'drik Expeditions, it's a much better starting place. It's standards support a wider range of material, and they will be updated to include newer material. Andrew Beard

pedr 01-29-07, 07:55 PM	Hi Paul! Check out a thread on ukroleplayers.com which is active at the moment - big big XE event happening in Manchester in June. I'm a bit snowed under with Tassek LG and real-life work, but I keep hoping to get a critical mass of XE players together. There won't be any at Conception, of course, as there aren't any modules available, but fingers crossed there'll be an Excaliber announced as soon as the D&D XP extended premiere sites are announced and I'll do my best to chivvy people into supporting XE there! On the ukroleplayers thread there's a link to the (silent, at the moment) markofheroes_uk yahoo group. Despite its name it's where I'll plug any XE stuff I can organise or hear about - and everyone else is welcome to do the same, especially as you can now play online.
