But... in the two Wizard Fastplay Character (Kobold and Warforged) they doesn't seem to have taken into account the number of ranks of spellcraft for determining the number of 1st level spell in their spellbook. Is that yet another error found in the fastplay characters or am I understanding it all wrong ? :help: Thank you for your time, the help is very appreciated. The game i'm DMing is coming soon and I don't want to look like a complete fool !! :D |

Then it talks about adding spells and the spellcraft ranks. My feeling is that wizards start with the standard number and the Spellcraft ranks are to represent spells learned by trading with other wizards through play. But it's not clear either way. Ed |

But it's not clear either way. Yes, that's what I think too. It's the way of the RPGA of dealing with spell trading. It's assumed that between adventures your wizard tries to add spells to his spellbook and the Spellcraft number of ranks represent that success !! And if you want more spells than that, you can always buy them with your EV. But for a starting character, 10 first level spell are quite enough... :D |
| TimRat06-10-05, 04:52 PM | This came up the other night as i was playing. if you have 4 ranks in spellcraft then you can add that many to your spellbook. what confused me a bit was the fact of mixing the 2nd/1st level spells as it reads in the standards. i was going to get a clarification on this one as well. |
