how is this thread not already started somewhere? i looked around, but i couldn't find one already created, if i'm wrong, someone point me in the right direction.

at one point i had stats for some of these, but i have sense lost them, and have no desire to recreate them, but the names themselves are provoking enough.

1) Jolly Green Giant
2) Smurfs
(at this point i begin to make plays on words)
3) Drowned Elf (drow elf)
4) Panty Stealer (thought eater)

i figured if every other thread had 1001 XXXX the monsters forum needed one too! some people might be more motivated than me and actually make stats. and one point i had stats for most of the ones i listed :)

Then find them and post them. I think that we should try to create a database of usable silly monsters equivalent to the 23 page list of silly spells in the Spells and Magic Items forum.

Square Rats are rodents indigenous to the Clockwork Nirvana of Mechanus, its body is nearly a perfect cube of about six inches to a side, with ears protruding from the top, little feet from the bottom, a face from the front and a tail from the back. Square Rats do not speak, but can understand the languages of the formians and the modrons

Combat

Square Rats usually run away. They bite only as a last resort.

Hive Mind (Su): All square rats are in constant communication with any other square rats within 500 feet of their location. If one is aware of a particular danger, they all are. If one in a group is not flatfooted, none of them are. No square rat in a group is considered flanked unless all of them are.

Skills: Square Rats have a +4 racial bonus on Hide and Move Silently checks, and a +8 racial bonus on Balance, Climb, and Swim checks. A rat can always choose to take 10 on Climb checks, even if rushed or threatened. A rat uses its Dexterity modifier instead of its Strength modifier for Climb and Swim checks. A rat has a +8 racial bonus on any Swim check to perform some special action or avoid a hazard. It can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered. It can use the run action while swimming, provided it swims in a straight line.

(By the way, "Square Rat" is an anagram of "tarrasque")

You see before you (the coned creature's description). Soon it changes to (another cloned creature's description).

Forum Cloners can transform into any monster posted on the WotC forums, so long as said monster hasn't been flamed heavily or its thread hasn't been locked. Their stats are equal to whatever monster they clone.

Combat

Forum Cloners transform into whatever creature form suits it best, and if the current one isn't working, Forum Cloner Will try finding a safe place to change into a better form.

Forum Duplicate (Ex): As a full round action, Forum Cloner may acquire all stats of any d20 monster on the WotC forums, except for its name, creature type, alignment, advancement, and its level adjustment.

Controversy Allergy (Ex): If a thread has more than 5 or more posts in the same page as a monster which flame said monster (DM's discretion), or if that particular thread is closed, the monster's form can't be taken by Forum cloner.

*Size is according to cloned monster. Forum Cloner's original size is Fine (before its first transformation).
**Give XP equal to the CR total of all monster forms that Forum Cloner challenged the party with, divided by total number of forms taken.

Note: If way-off CRs is a problem, try Peach Cloner. It's the same as Forum Cloner except it can only take monsters which are "peached" and complete.

12) The Figgy Pudding. A creature remotely similar to the Black Pudding that slumbers inactively for most all the year until about yuletide when it ventures to the surface for food. Figgy Puddings smell delicious and anyone inhaling the odor must make a will save or attempt to eat the figgy puding. The eaten result is a smaller figgy pudding which then devours the victim from the inside. Should he survive he will have to ddeal with the fact that Figgy Pudding flesh is highly addictive......

These foul-mouthed glassy, raven-like black birds flit around the lower planes randomly harassing travelers with constant taunts, insults, and profanity. More of a nuisance than an actual threat, their spell-like abilities and knowledge of the dark speech make them a very potent nuisance indeed.
They are about 1 feet long and have wingspan of about 4 feet. They combine both claws into a single attack when attacking, but this is not often, as they usually wisely choose to remain out of striking distance of their victims.

Pikachi are yellow mouse-like carnivorous creatures. Groups of pikachi have been known to waylay adventurers outside of caves after the adventurers were weakened by a fight. This has lead to wealthy adventurers carrying around Balls of Holding. When stuffed into Balls of Holding, which pikachi can't resist, they can be dispatched easily.

COMBAT
Pikachus are bloodthirsty beasts. They attack on sight, using their static attack to paralyze their foes, and then eating them alive.

Static (Su): Any creature attacking a pikachu takes 1d4 points of electricity damage, and must make a Fortitude save (DC 11) or be helpless for 1d6+1 rounds while the pikachu defecates in their intestines.

Ball Obsession: Pikachu have an obsession for balls of all sizes. When a ball is thrown on the ground, the pikachu immediately stops gnawing on your leg and pounces on it, which activates Balls of Holding, and suck the pikachi into it.

Ball of Holding: This appears to be a half white half red ball about the size of a humans palm. The ball of holding opens into a nondimensional space: Its inside is larger than its outside dimensions. Regardless of what is put into the ball, it weighs a fixed amount. This weight, and the limits in weight and volume of the ball’s contents, depend on the ball’s type, as shown on the table below.

Balls of Holding
Ball type Ball Weight Weight Limit Volume Limit Market Price
Type I 15 lb. 250 lb. 30 cu. ft. 2,500 gp
Type II 25 lb. 500 lb. 70 cu. ft. 5,000 gp
Type III 35 lb. 1,000 lb. 150 cu. ft. 7,400 gp
Type IV 60 lb. 1,500 lb. 250 cu. ft. 10,000 gp

If the ball is overloaded, or if sharp objects pierce it (from inside or outside), the ball ruptures and is ruined. All contents are lost forever. If a ball of holding is turned inside out, its contents spill out, unharmed, but the ball must be put right before it can be used again. If living creatures are placed within the ball, they can survive for up to 10 minutes, after which time they suffocate. Retrieving a specific item from a ball of holding is a move action—unless the ball contains more than an ordinary backpack would hold, in which case retrieving a specific item is a full-round action.

If a ball of holding is placed within a portable hole a rift to the Astral Plane is torn in the space: Ball and hole alike are sucked into the void and forever lost. If a portable hole is placed within a bag of holding, it opens a gate to the Astral Plane: The hole, the ball, and any creatures within a 10-foot radius are drawn there, destroying the portable hole and ball of holding in the process.

Moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Wondrous Item, secret chest.

A kitten of ultimate cuteness furthers its evil plots by bewitching humanoids to its will. It is about 8 inches long, weighs one-quarter pound, and resembles a young kitten of the ordinary type. It is, however, an intelligent and utterly evil being. A kitten of ultimate cuteness speaks Abyssal and Common.

COMBAT

A kitten of ultimate cuteness tries to defuse combat by use of command.

Command (Sp): A kitten of ultimate cuteness can use command at the 3rd caster level five times per day, forcing mortals into serving it by magically enhancing its cuteness.

Stretchy Limbs (Ex): A kitten of ultimate cuteness can stretch its limbs unnaturally, giving it 5 foot reach. Though this sight ought to be horrific, it is nevertheless seen as cute.

Here's an idea I just came up with:

Jell-O-tinous Mold
Colossal+ Ooze
HD: 50d10+1000 (1275 HP)
Initiative: -5
Speed: 15 ft.
AC: -11 (-16 Size, -5 Dex)
Base Attack/Grapple: +37/+69
Attack: Slam +49 Melee (3d8+12)
Space/Reach: 40 ft./20 ft.
Special Attacks: Improved Grab, Engulf
Special Qualities: Regeneration 30, There's Always Room For Jell-O-tinous, Blindsight 60 ft., Ooze Traits
Saves: Fort +38 Ref +13 Will +13
Abilities: STR 36 DEX 1 CON 50 INT -- WIS 1 CHA 1
Environment: Any cool/temperate
Organization: Solitary or Dessert Table (2-6)
CR: ???
Treasure: None
Alignment: Always Neutral

A Jell-O-tinous Mold is a towering, semi-transparent glob of colorful, wiggly goo formed into an unusual, seemingly decorative shape. Unlike most oozes, a jell-o-tinous mold is not an indiscriminate scavenger that lives to eat. In fact, it never eats at all, and seems to live to be eaten! The cool, quivering flesh of the creature can be easily scooped off of it, and is loved by almost all beings for its flavor (which seems to vary by the color of the creature it was taken from but is always sweet) and its uniquely delightful texture. The jell-o-tinous mold seems to take no offense at anyone that 'attacks' it in this way, as its regeneration quickly regrows the taken portion.
Jell-O-tinous Molds are rare, but can sometimes be found blindly wandering the countryside. They seem to be drawn to family gatherings and tacky pot-luck lunches. While most oozes engulf everything in their path, these creatures simply slide harmlessly over obstacles, leaving those that get in their way behind; cold, slightly sticky, and disoriented, but otherwise none the worse for being run over by several thousand tons of semi-solid sugar water.

Combat: A Jell-O-tinous Mold is completely harmless, posing no threat to any other creature. However, if someone attacks it with fire, it lashes out immediately, slamming the offender with a sticky pseudopod and attempting to engulf and suffocate the enemy within its wiggly form. Despite being mindless, the ooze seems to be able to tell the difference between a deliberate fire attack and, say, a careless person with a torch that bungles into the side of it. Therefore, it is not dangerous in the least unless someone actually tries to kill it.

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a jell-o-tinous mold must hit with its slam attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action. If it wins the grapple check its pseudopod surrounds the opponent and pulls it in, as though engulfed. (See below)
Engulf (Ex): Although it normally just slides over creatures in its way, a jell-o-tinous mold can draw hostile creatures into its body if it chooses to. An engulfed creature is held by the semi-solid goo of the ooze's body, which makes action difficult; a DC 15 Strength check is required to do anything that requires any sort of movement, and spellcasting is impossible unless the spell has no verbal or somatic components. In addition, there is no air to breathe inside the ooze, and engulfed creatures must hold their breath or suffocate. The only way to escape is to move through the gooey innards of the ooze and force a way out through the sides; a DC 15 Swim check allows an engulfed creature to move 5 feet through the ooze.
Regeneration (Ex): Fire liquefies a Jell-O-tinous Mold's flesh, dealing normal damage to it. The creature avoids fire, and anyone wielding fire, like the plague.
There's Always Room For Jell-O-tinous (Ex): A Jell-O-tinous Mold's body is primarily liquid. It can squeeze through any opening 1 inch wide or larger, although squeezing through such a small opening takes a while because of the creature's sheer size, requiring 10 consecutive full-round actions. (1 Minute)

Phew... that took a while to type. Couldn't figure out a CR, that would be kind of difficult. :D I also had to take an educated guess on the modifiers for Colossal+ size, as I don't have the Epic Level Handbook.

Dire parakeets are large, brightly colored birds with vicious beaks.

A dire parakeet can grow to be up to 3 feet long (excluding the tail) and weigh over 15 pounds.

Combat

Dire parakeets attack creatures that enter their territory. A large flock can be very dangerous to low-level adventurers.

Skills: Dire parakeets have a +4 racial bonus on Climb checks due to their grasping beak and prehensile feet.

Dire parakeets use their Dexterity modifier for Climb checks.

(The stats are based off the dire rat. Yes, I actually used this thing once, years ago, in a joke one-shot. Here it is in 3.5.)

Bonecrusher is a 50-foot tall, beige colored construct covered with implements of mass evisceration. He also hates everything. Unfortunately, this includes himself. He also hates that he hates himself, but he also hates that, and so on. So, instead of destroying everything in his path, Bonecrusher sits on a pile of wreckage and contemplates how much hate he has for everything.

He hates doing it, but he can't stop himself.

Supposedly, he was made to destroy anything that he hated. Unfortunately, because he hates everything, this included himself. His self-preservation instinct keeps him from destroying himself, while his undying hate says he should. This has inevitably created a logic error that has completely fried his motivation to do anything, which he hates.

(Having just got the Bonecrusher movie toy and seeing this topic inspired me to do something this stupid.)
