2nd ed demons revised anywhere? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-15-04, 02:40 PM i'm converting an old 2nd ed adventure that involves demons, but i can't find some of them anywhere; namely: manes, nabassu, alu-fiend, rutterkin, and another i can't recall the name right now...resembled apes kinda albagura or something like that i think. have these been revised anywhere or are they in some kind of publication since 3rd ed? thanks in advance.

02-15-04, 03:12 PM Most of them are done in Tome of Horrors, by Necromancer Games, which updated a number of old D&D monsters that haven't made the 3E cut.

Although, technically, I think the Half-Fiend should override the Alu-Fiend and Cambion.

02-15-04, 03:12 PM Manes, Rutterkins and Barlgura are in the Book of Vile Darkness, Alu-fiends are half-fiends from the monster manual (with slightly different abilities that have been dropped for 3e, although Tome of horrors by necromanacer games has stats for them as alu-fiends IIRC, I think ToH also has Nabassu stats, as I can not recall them appearing in any WotC book off the top of my head).

02-16-04, 03:03 PM Oi, it would be in Tome of Horrors. I suggest buying it, actually. Some of the beasts you seek are also in BoVD (which I don't suggest purchasing)...

And yes, cambions and alu-fiends need not to be statted out...Half-fiend will suffice. Unless you really want to...:rolleyes:
