Is there an easy way to convert those monsters to version 3.5? There's a 3.5 update document for the FF, the MM2 and others. And as for CR's, heck some of the 3.5 books are worse when it comes to accurate CRs. Some of the newer material is even to that point that I no longer pay attention to a given monsters CR, but rather I look at the full stats and judge by them rather than the CR which at times are wholly inadequate or too high. Of course I don't give numerical XP directly to the players so encounter CRs are the least of the my worries, being as they're largely just there for the adjucation of XP to give out.
