I'd like to start by apologizing in case there is a thread about this already, but I direly need an answer.

Is there, anywhere, a 3.5 version of the Kythons? If not, how do I transfer a 3.0 monster (eg. Kython) to 3.5? Are there steps to be taken in making the transfer. I love Kythons so much, please help.

This is the only reason I hate the BoVD. They have never printed 3.5 errata for it. I'm in the same boat you are.

No, there is not (to the best of my knowledge). However, the conversion process is simple.

1. Redo skills. Aberrations have skill points equal to (2 + Int mod) X (HD + 3). Racial skill bonuses are unchanged.

2. Redo feats. All creatures with an Int of 1 or more have feats as characters: 1 at 1st level/HD, +1 per 3 levels/HD.

3. Note that poison save DCs are equal to 10 + 1/2 HD + Constitution modifier. The DCs listed are correct for the "by the book" kythons, so this is only important if you make an advanced kython or change its Constitution.

There are other changes for other abilities (constructs, DR, etc) but I think that's it for kythons. They're pretty 3.5-friendly.

Here's a list, 'cause I'm such a nice guy.
Broodling: 5 SPs, 1 feat
Juvenile: 18 SPs, 3 feats
Adult: 26 SPs, 4 feats
Impaler: 45 SPs, 5 feats
Slaymaster: 108 SPs, 6 feats
Slaughterking: 147 SPs, 7 feats

3.0 monsters are incredibly easy to convert to 3.5, especially ones that don't have SLA's. Talisman beat me to everything I would have said.

Of course, you COULD run them straight out of the BOVD without changing their stats at all, but they'd be slightly underpowered due to the lack of feats.

In Exemplars of Evil, they have an advanced adult kython on page 78. 22HD, CR 9. They used it 'as is', only modifying stats per size increase and ability increase every 4 HD. Even the energy resistance 20 that was cut to resistance 10 on every other fiend was left untouched.

There's a conversion in Leaflets of Triel (http://images.wikia.com/d20npcs/images/c/cc/Leaflets_of_Triel.pdf), the unofficial BoVD conversion doc.

For convenience:

Kython Traits: Change fire and electricity resistance to 10.

Broodling

Base Attack/Grapple: +1/-2
Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.
Feats: Add combat reflexes.

Juvenile Kython

Base Attack/Grapple: +4/+6
Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.
Feats: Add power attack and combat reflexes.

Adult Kython

Base Attack/Grapple: +7/+10
Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.
Feats: Add power attack and combat reflexes.

Impaler

Base Attack/Grapple: +9/+13
Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.
Feats: Add mobility and combat reflexes.

Slaymaster

Base Attack/Grapple: +11/+22
Space/Reach: 10 ft./10 ft.
Skills: Replace intuit direction with survival.

Slaughterking

Base Attack/Grapple: +13/+26
Base Attack/Grapple: +5/+7
Space/Reach: 10 ft./10 ft.
Skills: Replace intuit direction with survival.
Feats: Replace expertise with combat expertise and sunder with improved sunder.

I am so glad this question was asked. Now that I know about the Leaflets, I'm going to print them out and include them with my BoVD. Is there a similar Leaflets type document about the BoED?

The BoED uses v3.5 rules.

Just keep in mind the Leaflets are wrong in regards to the 3.5 kythons which do indeed have resistance to energy 20.

What's hard about it? It has cleric bab. it has a good will. It has skill points 2 per level. It's not hard to make one or advance one.
