Wayward Son 04-15-05, 09:34 AM	They have four, actually. The tentacles on their face. When a mind flayer grapples, they are trying to grab onto the skull of their opponent with their tentacles. If they succeed in getting all four tentacles to hold the opponent, they can perform their automatic brain extraction and death attack the next round (or is it immediately? Someone with the books, a fact-check?). It's not easy to do with a resisting subject, so they tend to go after the targets they stun with a Mind Blast the round before.
