Ok I'm sorry if this has been asked before; But I was not playing around the time the 3.0 to 3.5 conversion has happening and only resently stared to pay again ( when Eberron came out).

Now going to start DM soon, and I'm looking thourgh the SRD (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/monstersAtoZ.html) monster section and I was looking for Good outsiders Who where called CELESTIALs in 3.0 and the old PS days.

In 3.0 there were 3 types of Celestials: Archon, Guardials and Elderian (sp)

Now in the SRD I see only Angels (ng) and Archons (lg) and I see Leonals ( Guardial) and an Avorals (Elderian)

My question is what happen to the Guardial and Elderian Sub type? should I take it way from the others monsters or just re- add it.

again I'm sorry if this has been answers

There still are 4 main types of celestials, Celestials being the overarching term for all 4 of them, much as 'fiend' is a generic term for any of the 4 main evil outersider types (Baatezu, Tanar'ri, Yugoloth, Gehreleth(Demodand)).

LG: Archons
NG: Guardinals
CG: Eladrin
Any good: Aasimon(Angels)

If I recall correctly there's a specific subtype for each type now rather than just a generic celestial subtype. I'd look in my MM3 (since it does have Yugoloth as a subtype now, which is a spark on the side of decency).

From the SRD:

Angel Subtype: Angels are a race of celestials, or good outsiders, native to the good-aligned Outer Planes

Archon Subtype: Archons are a race of celestials, or good outsiders, native to lawful good-aligned Outer Planes

Threse are the only "celestial" subtypes you can find in the SRD.

Threse are the only "celestial" subtypes you can find in the SRD.

The other two subtypes haven't made their way into the SRD. They either haven't yet, or they won't because Guardinals and Eladrins may be considered non open sourced etc like Illithids, Beholders, etc.
