| TUBUSKAHUSK10-04-06, 08:59 PM | I have been playing d&d since 1979 and have stayed with all of first and second ed stuff. So now I have started playing the 3.5 ed. I have bought so many of the books and have found them to be so helpfull and full of great game material. This 3.5 stuff is the best ever.. I love this new stuff. Well know for the question at hand. Where can I find the exp for killing monsters? I have searched in my PHP 1&2,DMG 1&2, all 4 of my monster manuals and my fiend foilo and cant find it anywhere. I have many more books than this but figured it would be in one of these. I have searched around on line for the info and have had no luck. I have had to use my charts from the other 1st and second ed stuff for the time being, but I have kept up with all of the monster exp for future reff. , just in case I need to make even more adjustments. Any help from you all would be great. Thanks!!! |

Fireball a band of 7 standard orcs, 105 XP. Now, you reward XP based on the EL, which is derived from the creatures CR, taking into account the party's level. I understand the new system, and what it tries to accomplish but it does take a bit more work on the DM, IMO. On the other hand, making new monsters is easier, at least for me. I find it easier to assign a CR then to figure out how many XP should be given in the old system. |
