| Warforged One09-23-05, 09:44 AM | I remember there used to be a picture of the Adamant Golem on the website somewhere. I cannot remember which book it was in however. If someone could tell me where it is, i'll be thankful. |
| The Vorpal Tribble09-23-05, 09:59 AM | You mean the Adamantine Golem? Its in the Epic Level Handbook, but no picture of it (though theres one for the mirthral golem). I'm certain I have seen a pic of an adamantine golem somewhere though... |

I'm certain I have seen a pic of an adamantine golem somewhere though... Thats where i thought it used to be. It did have the picture awhile back. Looks like they removed the adamantine Golem picture for some reason. I wonder why. |
| Verelor09-23-05, 06:06 PM | Take a pic of a mithril golem. Imagine it adamantine-colored. There ya go, Skipper! |
| Sigurd van Norhusen09-23-05, 07:23 PM | http://nwn.bioware.com/underdark/creature_adamgolem.html Good enough? |
| The Vorpal Tribble09-23-05, 07:43 PM | Nice one  |
| Lord Doombringer09-23-05, 08:09 PM | What does everyone mean that they took it out? Is that in newer copies or something? Mine still has it. |
| Slagger the Chuul09-23-05, 10:15 PM | I think they mean that they took it out of the online gallery for the Epic Level Handbook. |
| Fiery_Overlord09-24-05, 01:15 AM | page 194 epic hand book. I think its DR is BS, it should be 20/-. If I animarted an adamantine statue that would be its DR. What is up with a sudden weakness to extreme magic? Does that mean epic weapons ignore all harness? No, that isn't how it works... Epic magic weapons are covered page 129 Epic hand books and lists no such special property either as a general quality or specific to a type of enchantment. Epic weapons can't just cut through adamantine like it was flesh. (of course the best epic weapon are adamantine, but the best non-epic weapons are also adamantine.) And it isn't like the you need to feel sorry for the PCs, I mean they are epic, if they are not doing enough damage to still hurt it after DR 20/- they are doing something very wrong, maybe a heavy should invest in power attack. If I was an epic wizard and invested in making a golem out of adamantine and epic weapons ignored its hardness but didn't ignore standard adamantine hardness I would be seriously irrate, maybe cast a fiery storm consuming everything living within 100 miles of my wizard tower to express how upset I would be. |
| Nuntius12809-24-05, 01:32 AM | http://nwn.bioware.com/underdark/creature_adamgolem.html Good enough? Nicely done. Though I always thought Adamantine was a very dark bluish black, like navy blue+cobalt? Maybe I've just heard it described as such elsewhere. |
| Dimeron09-24-05, 02:47 AM | Lol, magic-using uber-nerd. |
| Ipsissimus09-24-05, 04:32 AM | I asked Sean Reynolds, he described it as a dark blue/grey metal. Remember Adamantite (from Marvel comics) and Adamantine is different. The D&D version is blueish in color just up to you how blue/grey it is. I tried painting a mini with adamantine armor and it just looked too anime for my taste so I just went dark grey or dark iron with a very light hint of blue. As for removing artwork from a gallery, the artist might have wanted it taken down. |
| Warforged One09-24-05, 05:04 AM | http://nwn.bioware.com/underdark/creature_adamgolem.html Good enough? Perfect, thanks. I do miss the Art Gallery picture though. |
| JH_man09-24-05, 04:35 PM | As stated above, page 194 of Epic Lvl Handbook. JH_man |
