A creature Request thing! [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-19-05, 11:36 PM Does any body out there know where I can find the statistics for a Glyptodont or create the statistics for glyptodonts... in case you didn't know glyptodonts are large pre-historic hairy armadillo / bear things found HERE!!! 11-20-05, 03:09 AM I *think* you might mean the giant ground sloth of south america (they had armour plating of a sort); they existed up until quite recently (say extinct for 10k years give or take).

If this *is* what you mean, then use a cave bear for reference (or polar bear, whatever is in the MM) and add some AC, and slow its move, and add some natural camaflauge (+4 or +8 maybe to hide when in its natural temperate forest habitat).

How does that sound?

Ima gonna have to get a copy... But wait, glyptodonts wre foret dwelling...bear/armadillo things and frostburn was the "cold environment" book WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?!!!

And yup, they are in Frostburn (CR 5 critter), and basically its in there with the rest of the more well known 'ice age' beasties because it was an ice age creature.

Edit: And btw, Glyptodons weren't the giant ground sloths.
