Darkness3136 07-11-04, 06:23 AM	I'm a bit unsure so I'll just ask the questions... - Incorporeal creatures, assuming they're unarmed and manifested, can attack corporeal creatures and penetrate armor / shield / nat armor bonuses, right? (even though they'll have 50% miss chance) - If that is so, does it work the same way with ghost touch weapons? (the armor / shield / nat armor penetrating part, although there won't be any more miss chance) - Finally, can they wear armor effectively and receive an AC bonus while manifested against corporeal creatures? Thanks.
Hand of Vecna 07-11-04, 10:03 AM	Manifesting is sometihng only Ghosts do, and refers to their ability to shift from the Ethereal to the Material Plane. When Manifested on the Material Plane, they're still as Incorporeal as a Wraith, and so they cannot wear armor (unless it has the Ghost Touch property). Ghosts are the only critters in the MM that Manifest. Incorporeal critters attacking corporeal targets do not have a miss chance against them, even if attacking with their bare hands/claws/tentacles/whatever.

Darkness3136 07-11-04, 04:17 PM	Well, I just reread the monster manual a few more times and I've come with this, under the section on ghostly equipment: "The equipment works normally on the Ethereal Plane but passes harmlessly through material objects or creatures. A weapon of +1 or better magical enhancement, however, can harm material creatures when the ghost manifests, but any such attack has a 50% chance to fail unless the weapon is a ghost touch weapon..." That said, the weapon needs to have ghost touch, but unarmed attacks don't have a miss chance without it?
