Ok, I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for, so maybe some nice person will read this and enlighten me.

First of all, what are all the ways to kill a vampire? As I understand it, only the following ways work:

Immersion in running water for three rounds
Beheading
Wooden stake through the heart
Destroyed through turning
Exposure to two rounds of sunlight
The vampire's innability to reach his coffin after being reduced to less than zero hitpoints

Anything else will simply cause the vampire to assume gaseous form and attempt to escape. Is this correct?

And now for my second question. When a vampire assumes gaseous form, all his equipment turns gaseous with him, right? So what happens if he is prevented from reaching his coffin within the time limit? Does he simply dissipate into the air? Would his equipment vanish with him?

Hopefully, somebody out there can help me with this.

The gaseous form is not a permanent state, it is similar to a spell and if the creature dies in this state he returns to his original form. In the case of a vampire he will be destroyed and turn in to ashes. His equipment will also return to normal and will not be destroyed by this.
