What base speed would a huge centaur have?

And what sort of bonusses does it recieve for having four legs? I imagine some bonusses to trip and/or balance?

CAN you advance a centaur in size? since it says by character class...

Here's the stunt I'm trying to do:
Centaur
+Size (Huge)

Centaurs advance by class. Also, I'm not sure if you have ever seen a centaur in play but, as an ECL 6 character (ie, 4 HD + 2 LA) they are really, really effective. Take a few levels in fighter and focus on fighting with a lance and things get very scary very quickly.

Level Adjustment. See the sub-races section in the FR sourcebook, or the MM (3.5) for more info...

Duskey,

Base speed do NOT increase with size. There have been many posts related to this topic. Most people feel that it should (and I agree), but some feel that this would cause game-balance issues or some such.

Creatures with more than 2 legs do get bonuses for balance checks, avoiding trips, grapples, etc. See the combat chapter in the PHB for details on each of these attack forms for the exact bonus.

But essentially, unless your DM does a rule 0 on this, centaurs don't increase in size through advancement.

Now, if you cast enlarge upon said centaur and make it permanent...

1. You're right, base speed does not increase. I suppose you could argue that the slower metabolism and increase in clumsiness counteract the longer gait.
2. Enlarge is now Enlarge Person and only affects humanoids.

How much would the LA, CR and other stuff increase for a huge centaur?
