He has fair skin and blonde hair , his eyes shine like sapphires . The only thing different about him is the sky blue bumps on his nose and ears . mindflayer medium humaniod HD- 8d8+8(44HP) intitiative- +6 speed- 30 ft. armor class- 13 (+2 dex,+1 natural), touch 10,flat-footed 12 base attack/grapple- +6/+7 attack- claw +3 melee (1d4+1), tentacle(tounge) (1d3) full attack- 2 claws +3 melee (1d4+1), 1 tentacle(tounge) (1d3) space/reach- 5ft./5ft. special attacks- mindblastpsionics,extract special qualities- telepathy 100 ft. saves- fort +3, ref +4, will +9 abilities- str 12, dex 14, con 12, int 19, wis 17,cha 17 skills- bluff +11, concentration +11, diplomacy +7, disguise +3 (+5 acting), hide +10, intimidate +9, knowlage(any) +12, listen +11, move silently +10, sense motive +7, spot +11 feats- combat casting, improved initiative, weapon fenesse environment- any organization- solitary, pair, inquisition(3-5),or cult(3-5 plus 6-10 grimlocks) challenge rating- 6 treasure- standard alignment- usually lawful evil advancement- by character class level adjustment- +3 (made changes to extract) extract (ex)- a mind flayer that begins its turn with its hand or tounge attached and makes a successful grapple does 1d3 of int or wis damage every 2 turns , once the targets int and wis reaches zero they are killed . please give your thoughts good or bad , and play test if you can more info to come . |

It may have the mind blast ability and be able to use an, albeit strange, extract attack. I would say not. It doesn't even have the tentacle mouth! As fun as it would be to play a creature like you have created, I must say that I don't think it can be called a mind flayer. But, getting away from my rant... As a creature it looks pretty solid, except that you didn't put any psionic powers down. Really, it looks identical to a normal mind flyaer except you changed the way it looks. I suppose it might possibly help mind flayers infiltrate societies, but why would they need to? They could just psionically disguise themselves. It may be a revamp of how a mind flayer looks, but really it is almost exactly the same otherwise. I suggest adding a signature ability more suited to its new form. |
