What looked like a giant insect at first begins to rip the cow carcass to pieces. Its reptilian tail moves from side to side behind it as it bites into the corpse. This must be the creature the farmers hired you to kill. Suddenly, it turns its head and charges toward you, it knew you were there all along!

Yowie are perfect hunters, they combine features of both insects and reptiles. The body of a yowie is that of a giant ant while their tails and heads are distinctly lizard-like. While not evil, yowie care for nothing but eating and consider anythign smaller than themselves to be prey. Yowie have a taste for cows and other cattle, so farmers will often hire adventuerers to slay the beast if they suspect a yowie has been killing their livestock. After killing, a yowie will drag the corpse into the forest and devour it in the beast's lair.

Combat
Yowie start encounters by trying to trample smaller foes into the ground and then biting and clawing them to death. Yowie usually run when faced with a larger opponent. If it can get ahold of an opponent with its bite, it will attempt to swallow them.

Improved Grab (Ex): If a yowie hits with its bite attack, it deals normal damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. If a yowie gets hold, it can attempt to swallow them.
Pounce (Ex): When a yowie makes a charge, it can follow with a full attack
Swallow Whole (Ex): If a yowie begins its turn with an opponent held in its mouth, it can attempt a new grapple check. If it succeeds, it swallows its prey, and the opponent takes 2d6+7 points of crushing damage every round plus 4 points of acid damage from the digestive acids. A swallowed creature can try to cut its way free with any light slashing or piercing weapon, or it can just try to escape the grapple. The Armor Class of its interior is 14. If the swallowed creature escapes the grapple, success puts it back in the attacker’s mouth, where it may be bitten or swallowed again.
Trample (Ex): As a full-round action, a yowie can move up to twice its speed and literally run over any opponents at least one size category smaller than itself. The yowie merely has to move over the opponents in its path; any creature whose space is completely covered by the trampling creature’s space is subject to the trample attack. A trample attack deals 1d8+10 bludgeoning damage. Trampled opponents can attempt attacks of opportunity, but these take a –4 penalty. If they do not make attacks of opportunity, trampled opponents can attempt Reflex saves to take half damage. The save DC is 21.
Tremorsense (Ex): Yowie can automatically sense the location of anything within 60feet taht is in contact with the ground.
