| Deamion11-28-07, 06:01 PM | This one is inspired by a dream I had and I just felt she was too perfect not to stat up, (even if I'm not the best man for the job). I apologise for any errors as well as the somewhat insufficient fluff but I wanted to get her done before hitting the sack and so here she is. PEACH and Enjoy! Esciliria Human female rogue 7/wizard (generalist) 26/lore master 15 Hit Dice: 26d4 + 7d6 + 15d4 + 123 (250 hp) Initiative: -1 Speed: 30 ft. Environment: - Organization: solitary Challenge Rating: 48 Alignment: LE Advancement: by character class Before you sits a morbidly obese human female wearing a richly decorated jewel embedded robe. Escilliria controls a plane-spanning network of spies, infiltrators and information brokers. Through this network she scours the planes for knowledge and magical power to add to her collection. If one is looking for information that cannot be found elsewhere then Escilliria is the best bet… that is if you can find her. Escilliria desires knowledge and power above all else and she is not above releasing a prisoner or sparing an enemy’s life if they can provide her with some titbit of knowledge or a magical secret. She is extremely proud and looks down on everyone considering even her most trusted agents nothing more than expendable puppets. Escilliria is never seen without her robe which is covered from head to toe in thousands of many-coloured gemstones. These stones contain souls from which she slowly draws power and lifeforce until nothing remains. Dealing with Escilliria is a surprisingly pleasant experience as she treats her guests well and will even offer rooms for the night if needed. She is always polite in her dealings, keeps her word and deals fair despite what one might think. Combat: Escilliria likes to incapacitate and capture her opponents rather than outright kill them. Her prisoners are usually either placed in stasis if they are too dangerous or thrown in her demiplanar prison to torture and kill. She usually doesn’t capture the souls of her enemies until she has completely broken them. Secrets of inner strength: + 2 bonus to will saves Applicable knowledge: Escilliria choose eschew materials as her bonus feat. Instant mastery: Escilliria has 4 ranks in profession (tailor). Newfound arcane: Escilliria has a bonus 1’st lvl spell slot More newfound arcane: Escilliria has a bonus 2’nd lvl spell slot Lore: as bardic knowledge Escilliria has +32 on her lore check Greater lore: can identify items as the spell True lore: can use legend lore or analyze dweomer once per day Sneak attack: 6d6 damage yadda yadda… trap finding: you know what it does. Evasion: this one too. Uncanny dodge: this one too plus the +2 ac and ref against traps. Spells: (4/10/9/8/8/8/7/7/6/7) Escilliria prefers spells of the enchantment school. Possesions: 1 Escilliria’s robe, 1 rod of the magi (as staff of the magi in the form of a diamond tipped ebony rod. She used this as a cane), +9 ring of protection, ring of universal elemental immunity, earrings of intellect + 10, shoes of greater teleportation and countless magical doodads and thingamajigs. Escilliria has an imp familiar named Arsoleba that I won’t stat here. Escilliria’s robe (major artifact): This heavy dark red velvet robe is covered in thousands of many-coloured jewels and radiates an almost palpable aura of magic. Escilliria’s robe is capable of a series of powerful magic effects. The gems of the robe can be removed and used individually as described below. Removing and reattaching the gems without ruining the robe requires a successful profession (tailoring) check dc 12. The wearer of Escilliria’s robe can use an effect similar to the steal life spell (bovd) at will on any soul trapped in the robe, in addition to the normal effect of the spell the wearer will also recover 5 hit points for each 1 point of ability drain inflicted on the target soul. Any soul that is completely drained is lost forever not even a wish spell or divine intervention can restore it. The wearer can draw on the knowledge of any soul trapped in the robe, this includes substituting the souls skills for your own and recalling the soul’s memories. Gems of Escilliria’s robe (minor artifact): These gems act a powerful focuses for spells such as trap the soul and soul bind and can capture and soul regardless of hd. hope there's not too many errors... |
| Dead_Weasel11-28-07, 07:27 PM | This... should be somewhere else. I believe that either the What's A DM To Do? or the Campaign Workshop forums (possibly both) have ongoing threads for villains. Assuming that she is an NPC, then the Environment, Organization and Advancement entries are unnecessary, since she is not a monster (however monstrous her behavior may seem to others) - which is why she is somewhat out of place here. If she is intended as a PC, then the Character Development or Character Optimization forums would be the place to go. A spellcaster would normally prioritize Dex over Str. |
