Saurstalk 09-30-03, 11:27 AM	For several creatures in the MM, MM2 and the like, you'll see that they have claw attacks, i.e., 2 claws. However, for the TAB and damage, you only see one TAB and one damage entry for each. I've been playing with the assumption that the one TAB and one damage entry applies for one claw. I.e., it'd be redundant and a waste of ink to write the same info twice. However, as of recent, I've begun to secondguess myself. An alternative would be that the 2 claws are rolled into one attack, hence one TAB and one damage roll for two claws. The problem here is that such a conclusion would appear to run counter to typical game mechanics. In the end, I'm turning to the boards for advisement.
Oberon_of_Avalon 09-30-03, 11:35 AM	Say for instance a creature's entry says (if you're using 3.5, this will appear under the "Full Attack" line; if not, then it'll just be under the "Attack" entry): 2 claws +4 (1d6+1) melee. This means that (when using the full attack action only) that the creature makes two claw attacks, each at +4 bonus and doing 1d6+1 damage each.
