A Riding Dragon? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-28-04, 07:44 PM I'm trying to think of how to create a Riding Dragon. Basically, a dragon thats the size of a horse, isn't really that powerful, but can fly. And of course, at least has the Reptilian subtype. (The world I'm making is located in the air, and as such, these beast would be much more common than a horse) I thought about using a Wyvern, but I think I want a creature that anyone could have in their stable. And I don't want any arms on them. Just legs and wings.

Any ideas?

03-28-04, 08:45 PM You could just stick a half-dragon template on a horse, or there's the dragonnel in the Draconomicon.

and a chauchmar for evil characters(black evil horse with a fire tail, hair and at the feet)

The above is in the Monster manuel ( 3.5 )
