They appear as massive, oozing tumors, cancerous blights crawling across the land. Their touch is anathema to all that is living, and they are masters of necrotic cysts. However, the power is not wholly malignant. They are capable of forming their flesh into undead grafts for the benefit of their allies, and have the unique power to cure cancer by drawing it into themselves, which they use to both heal themself and as a bartering chip. Cancerous Slam (Su) Any creature struck by a Crawling Cancer’s slam attack must make a DC 30 Fortitude save or be blighted by cancer, taking 1d6 points of Constitution drain. The save is Charisma based. Spell-Like Abilities At will–contagion (DC 18), necrotic awareness*, necrotic bloat* (DC 18), necrotic cyst* (DC 17), necrotic scrying*, poison (DC 18); 3/day–mass inflict light wounds (DC 20), necrotic burst* (DC 20), necrotic domination* (DC 19); 1/day–harm (DC 21), necrotic empowerment*, necrotic eruption* (DC 21), necrotic termination* (DC 24), necrotic tumor* (DC 22). Caster level 13th. All saves are Charisma based. *From Libris Mortis Excise Cancer (Su) As a standard action, a Crawling Cancer may touch a creature and draw out any cancer in it. This cures any mundane cancer the creature may have, restores all ability drain caused by the Crawling Cancer’s cancerous slam attack, and removes any necrotic cysts (but not mother cysts) the creature may have. If the creature is unwilling, it may attempt a DC 28 Fortitude save to negate it. The save is Charisma back. The process of drawing out the cancer deals 5d6 damage to the subject. The Cancer gains an equal amount of hp as it draws the excised malignance into itself. Cancerous Graft (Su) Three times per day, as a full round action, a Crawling Cancer can use its Graft Flesh feat to create an undead graft from its highly mutable flesh without paying the requisite gp or xp cost and attach it to a willing or helpless creature. |

I'm afraid I don't get your meaning. Do you mean it should get different abilities based on what kind of cancer it is? Because it's basically an amalgam of every cancer there is. |
| Babaal07-21-06, 03:17 PM | A very nice creature, with interesting powers and a very unique theme, congrats :D! It does, though, feel more like neutral evil than true neutral. Maybe posting an ecology/history/alignement section could clarify the issue. If I ever use your monster in my campaign, I'll send you a line with comments on how well it worked :D |

| fullmetal8011007-21-06, 04:17 PM | In the book of Vile Darkness (one of my favorites) there is a class called the cancer mage, it might add some cool flavor if you could find some way to link those in a campaign, but be careful not to make the mage overpowered with some cool things. You could let him detect them or get a little bonuse here and there against them, if you do let me know how you do it, i like the idea of your monster and might want to through it in my game |
