Im looking at the 3.5 monstermanual and the level ADJ of a campire is plus 5 but of an "elite" vampire its a plus 8? which do i use to apply to creating a vampire PC? if i have a human/vampire 3rd lvl monk what is its ECL???

n whats the diffrence between "elite" and normal vampires other then the fact that the shown elite simply has some class levels to it.

12-25-04, 09:54 PM The "normal" vampire in the MM is simply a 5th level fighter. The "elite" is just an example of a vampire with more/different class levels. And you cannot have a vampire with only 3 HD. Anything killed by the vampire's drain attack with less than 5 HD gains the Vampire Spawn template, rather than the Vampire template.
