Abberation type Sneak attack [Archive] - Wizards Community

My DM and I wonder wether or not abberations are immune to sneak attack. Could anyone clarify this? I checked the SRD an the abberation type did not list it but the DM said he read it somewhere.

No they are not although some specific aberrations may have immunity. Also a spell in the LOM gives you partial immunity to them.

Aye, only if the specific monster says they are immune (or if they have casted Undulant Innards or similiar spells)

The previous posters are correct, Aberrations do not have a blanket immunity to sneak attacks, although a few specific aberrations do (such as the Gibbering Mouther) in those instances it is stated in the monsters combat section someplace.

Ah well I'm man enough to admit it was my mistake, thought I'd read somewhere that all abberations were immune to sneak attacks and such.
