Alignment: Always Chaotic Treasure: No Coins; No goods; Triple Items (Alchemic only) plus coat. Languages: Common, Abyssal Physical Description: A grey slender anthropod-style creature stands with hunched shoulders and slightly bent knees. Curled back like wings are two long arms jutting from the shoulders, jutting from the hips are another pair of equally long arms which are identical to the other pair, just slightly lower. All the arms end in large, surprisingly dextrous, razor sharp claws which all reach their respective elbows. It wears an odd coat at all times which has four arm sleeves and many pockets, the coat is usually grey and apparently made from hair held together with alchemicaly made glue. Also from their hips are their two legs, each leg has a foot ending in four toes. The creature has a human-esque head, it has two large bulging eyes, one pointy ear on either side of the head, and a single lipless mouth. It doesn't have a nose; it can smell with its mouth. It has no hair. Combat: The straket loves to create acids and other things such as glue through alchemy, if it can't get what it wants, it will steal to get it. If they ever get caught they may be forced to fight. Their superior strength and their long reaching claws and well used dexterity often give them the upper hand. When combined with chaotic methods they can be very tough. If they don't want to stay close however, they might just throw potions at a distance. Aura of Chaos (Su): Strakets are naturally chaotic, and they constantly emit chaos whever they go. Any non-chaotic creature within 30ft must make a will save (DC 25) or suffer a penalty to attacks, AC, and all saves for 1d4+1 rounds after they leave the circle. If any subject leaves the circle, they need to make another roll to see if they are affected upon re-entry. Upon failing: Neutral creatures take a -2 to Attack, AC and all Saves. Lawful creatures take a -4 to Attack, AC and all Saves. Regeneration (Ex): A strakets body is very tough and durable, all attacks do subdual damage except for cold and sonic damage which it is naturally weak against. It heals 5 points of subdual damage per round. Rend (Ex): When a straket successfully hits with any two claw attacks in one round, it can automatically rend if it likes. Rend requires no attack roll and deals an extra 2d8 damage. Double Rend (Ex): If a stracket successfully hits with all four claw attacks in one round and it hasn't performed rend, it can automatically deal a double rend if it wishes. Double rend requires no attack roll and deals an extra 4d8 damage and the target must make a fortitude save (DC 20) or be stunned for 1d2 rounds. Immune to Acid (Ex): All strackets are immune to acid and cannot take any damage from having it spilled on them, consumption or otherwise. Special Coat (Ex): When a stracket becomes an adult it has to weave its own special coat, it melds it from a hair like substance and a glue like substance created through alchemy which is a stracket race's secret. The coat protects the stracket and grants it a +2 to AC. It has a hardness of 5. I hope you like it! ..do you have any suggestions..? |
| Realms of Chaos04-07-05, 04:02 PM | Straket is an interesting foe. Even though it robs things to get proper ingrediants, it doesn't sound either particularly good or evil. It sounds like a Chaotic Neutral creature to me. Also, I think that its treasure thing should look like this. Treasure: No Coins; No goods; Triple Items (Alchemic only) plus coat. |

Thank you, thats a good suggestion alignment-wise, and the treasure set out is great. *appreciate* |
