Ability Bonuses [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-08-04, 09:50 AM Is it OK to give a monster or race a odd bonus (+3 to Str for example). I've never seen odd bonuses, and I can sort of understand why, because of odd scores, I guess.

The above is based for a standard adventure with nothing too extra.

06-08-04, 04:08 PM Odd bounuses are not given because if you have a 14 (+2) a +1 means it is 15 (still +2) and thus is not given because of limited game effect. You can find any monsters bounus by subtracting 10 if even or 11 if odd.
