Considering that a Marilith has six arms (and thus six hands), could she wear six rings? I mean, a Hand of Glory gives you a "third hand" (magically conected to your body), allowing you to wear three rings. Should I follow this logic or is a Marilith bound to the restriction of two rings?

All creatures, regardless of hand count, are limited to two magic rings. Hand of Glory and some feats (can't recall which ones, or where they're from) allow for more, but thats the only way.

The one I know of is from the Epic Feat ADDITIONAL MAGIC ITEM SPACE. It can let you wear an extra ring.

Some aberrations can apparently wear multiple rings (grells can wear 4, according to Lords of Madness), but otherwise pileobone is correct.

You can always pay double to make the rings slotless...

Can't Aboleth wear 3 rings?

Yes, but only 2 will be active at any 1 time. ;)

Another feat that allows you to use more slotted magic items is the Extra Item Space feat from Savage Species. Unlike the similar epic feat, though, it'll require you to have an extra hand/neck/head before you take the feat. A Marilith that has taken this feat 4 times could effectively wear 6 magic rings. An ettin could take the feat to wear two magical circlets or hats.

Aboleth can wear up to three active ring on the ends of its tentacles. ("Lords Of Madness". pg 24)

A marilith who burns 4 feats on those misses out on 4 combat oriented feats. Those extra rings had better be worth it...

There are two magic items that I know of that allow you to have an extra ring; the hand of glory was already mentioned. The other item is the ringblade, a magical longsword from the Arms and Equipment Guide. When weilding the ringblade, you gain the benefit of a single additional magical ring placed over the hilt.

The hand of glory basically works by letting you wear the ring on your necklace slot. By that same logic, you could fashion similar items for other parts of your body as well, such as anklet rings etc... :P

Readies an action to dodge the inevitable booing.... :embarrass

To heck with the Rules As Written.

The metagame argument is based on rules for magic item slots that were developed to suit creatures with a humanoid body plan. Why should the same apply to creatures who have other or additional limbs?

Extra arms = extra item slots. It makes more sense than simple adherence to the RAW that don't take such things into account really, and besides, it's just cool.
