What I'm doing is kicking a treant up to 18HD and that shifts it from huge to gargantuan in the size category. If there isn't a rule, does 10ft per size category sound reasonable? Also what is his attack damage? 2d6 (huge) shifts to 3d6 (colossal) to what for gargantuan? |
| SilentOne04-01-08, 11:01 PM | Huge < Gargantuan < Colossal, so the damage should just be 3d6 (I'm assuming you got the order mixed up and just went up a size from 2d6). Officially, there are no rules for increased speed. However, adding 10 ft. per size category seems fair, and to be fairly supported by the rules (like Small creatures typically having 20 ft. speed compared to Medium's 30 ft compared to Large's 40 ft.) The treant wasn't exceptionally slow to begin with, so changing its speed some as it gets larger wouldn't break the image of the monster (since it isn't a slow moving tree that's easily avoided). |
