thought_riot 11-24-05, 04:12 PM	The advancement chart says that their skill points is X + Int per HD. Now, say the monster has 2 HD and gains a third. It's int is -1, and the X is 2. Would it gain 1 skill point, or 3?

If a monster gains skill points equal to (2 + "intelligence modifier") per HD, and "intelligence modifier" = -1, then the principle of substitution says that the creature gains skill points equal to 2 + (-1). Basic math tells us -1 + 2 = 1.
