Advancing a Dire Rat [Archive] - Wizards Community

I am going to advance a Dire Rat to 3HD.
Nothing worldshaking to be sure.

Does the rat get a new feat at 3HD?
If so, i am not sure which feat i could give it.
Maybe "Ability Focus (Disease)"?

I'm not going to give the rat "improved natural attack".
It's not really "dire" if the rat has tooths bigger than it's head.
Maybe it is...but it's still an animal and not an abberation, lol.

Don't think of it as just "bigger teeth", think of it as stronger jaw muscles and sharper, slightly bigger than normal, teeth.

Thats sounds more plausible.

I added it (Improved Natural Attack) to the 6HD Dire Rat.
