Advancing a Special Mount: BAB and Attacks [Archive] - Wizards Community

One member of my group asked what happens if he advances his Dire Lion Mount enough to warrant him an increase in the number of Attacks.

But the Dire Lion already has 2 Claw attacks and a Bite Attack. So does he get an additional Attack with each claw, or one additional bite?

I was not able to determine this reading the advancement rules

08-23-07, 06:21 AM Natural weapons never benefit from extra attacks by virtue of a high bab.

For example, a lion with bab +6 still gets only 1 attack with his natural attacks. This is the case even if it had bab+100, or even +1000.:)

It would be ridiculous indeed if the lion were to gain even more attacks!
