Advancing an elephant [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-30-07, 06:52 AM Hey, my party has the marble elephant wonderous item, which is very good, and they use it a lot. I was thinking of making the elephant take an equal share of the XP for any encounter they use him for. Now, how do you use XP to advance an animal? Using the same progression as PC's, but by counting the HD or the CR as the level?
