The standard stone golem is Large and the greater stone golem is Huge. That noted I'll explain how to price advancements of Golems. For every aditional hit die after the base price the maker must pay 5,000 gp. For every increase in size catagory its 50,000 more gold. So if one were to advance a Standard Stone golem to a greater stone golem he would pay for 28 more hit die as well as the increased size catagory. 90000gp+(28x5000gp)+50000gp=280000gp  this is 84,000gp more than the given price in the monster manual for a greater stone golem. Whats the deal? What do I go by? |

Or you can say that doesn't factor in at all and the price is as you calculated, 280,000 gold. Decide which you like and then stick to it. If one type of golem is wrong I would double-check all the advanced golems you use in the future. |
