Makuya 07-07-04, 11:09 PM	I had a very fatal monster idea... Rust monster/cockatrice hybrid. It rusts their gear up and turns them into stone with just a touch once rendered defenceless!
GodSlayer 07-08-04, 01:43 AM	hmm. What if it merely Turned the victim to metal then spend the following rounds damaging them with rust attacks Similar to Rusting Grasp. But then that might work better with a Baskilisk/Rust Monster hybrid that way it turns to Metal by gaze and destoys by touch.

Zarg1 07-08-04, 10:30 AM	You could rule that the critters petrification attack only affects living creatures. Turn the party to stone then rust there stuff.
IceFractal 07-08-04, 08:16 PM	Picture this, a rust monster that has a symbiotic relationship with a gelatinous cube, and basically hangs out inside it. The rust monster rusts all the metal stuff and the cube eats the rest.
Wickerbull 07-09-04, 03:30 PM	Back to the rust monster/cockatrice....... What if you made it so that it turns the players to stone, dissolves the stone, and prevents ressurection in the process? That would be truly horrific. If only this was a template.....
