| Dyne06-26-07, 10:01 PM | Does anyone know if there are different stats for vampires in any books? I dislike the version in the Monster Manual, so I'm thinking of creating my own, possibly in prestige class format. |

| Dyne06-26-07, 11:35 PM | Thanks, I didn't see that thread. Though, I did find a few variant templates so far: link 1 (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=870911) link 2 (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=708607) Now that I think of it, I probably should've just found an existing thread to post on, instead of starting my own. Eh, sorry about that. Does anyone know of alternate vampire stats in printed books, though? |
| dfarnsworth06-27-07, 11:13 AM | There were three variants in Dragon #348. |

| Adrez Nesnsid06-27-07, 04:04 PM | "Oriental Adventures" includes stats for a type of asian themed vampire called a Penaggolan (or something like that, I don't know how to spell it). |
| Guyver02706-27-07, 04:16 PM | Have you looking in Libris Mortis? |
| Dyne06-28-07, 02:15 AM | Have you looking in Libris Mortis? LM has a few variants (such as psychic and savage vampires), but I'm looking more for a completely different set of stats. IMHO, the vampire template in the MM doesn't match traditional myths about the creatures, and it's not very adaptable. |
| Kain Darkwind06-28-07, 02:33 PM | Dicefreaks has a customizable template here (http://dicefreaks.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29). If you have access to the third edition Ravenloft campaign setting or especially Denizens of Darkness by Sword and Sorcery, they assign vampires age categories and give them salient abilities per age category. They have at least eight vampire templates that I am aware of, normal, elven, dwarven, gnome, halfling, oriental, nosferatu and some other thing that I can't remember what it is called. Plus a monstrous humanoid vampyre and the half-vamp dhampir. All are found in the Denizens of Darkness book, the age category and salient ability rules are found in the campaign setting. |

Sweet, that may be exactly what I'm looking for. I'll have to check those out. |
