| The Ethereal Wickerman12-06-03, 04:54 AM | Looking at the half-dragon template in the MM assumes your going to use either a chromatic or metallic dragon parent. What about something different though, like the MM2 gem dragons or the OA lung dragons. This is merely an imaginative post, so feel free to share your ideas. As for me, I think the following would rule... Half-Fang Dragon; Those big spiky dragons from Monsters of Faerun. Half-Chiang Lung; Those long, thin green wingless dragons that can still fly from the OA. Half-Sapphire Dragon; Those gem dragons made up of, well, sapphire. From the MM2. What do think?. Can you use the half-dragon template with any kind of dragon, other than the ones in the Monster Manual. |
| Derren S.12-06-03, 05:15 AM | Yes, you can. On page 166-167 of the Draconomicon there is a list what every dragon not in the MM gets as special abilities. This list includes all FR Half-Dragons, all Gem Half-Dragons. all Lung Half-Dragons and all Half-Dragons from true dragons presented in the Draconomicon. |
