| Valkaun_Dain01-19-06, 03:36 PM | My PC is a NG paladin variant called a Sentinel (from Dragon Mag.) Any ideas? I was thinking Griphon but I am limited to creature mounts in the first MM and I was wondering if there's something out there I'm overlooking or I'm just not aware of. Having a mount is not a Sentinel ability, it would just be a mount he would have to buy or otherwise acquire. Our party is geared toward dragon slaying so a dragon would most likely be out of the question, even a NG one. |

What I meant to say was "I was thinking Griphon since I am limited to creature mounts in the first MM. I was wondering if there's something out there I'm overlooking or I'm just not aware of maybe in MM2 or some other source." Thanks anyway. |

Really, your options are the same as they were before, you just won't have the nifty mount abilities. I'd certainly go for something that flies. A hippogriff is simple to train, and fairly inexpensive, and not that hard to come by, so that's my suggestion, without knowing your character's level, or race. If you were an Elf, for example, you're open to the Skylord PrC, IIRC. Or even Oriental Adventure's Kishi Charger would be good, which has decent mount abilities without much strictness on your alignment. |
