Alu-fiends/Cambions [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-26-04, 07:07 PM I have read about alu-fiends and cambions in novels (mostly FR) and am wanting to put them in a game I am running. I thought I had the stats in one of the source books I have...but I can't seem to find it. I have read through them over and over, but am at a loss.

If anyone could point me in the direction of where to find the stats for the alu-fiend and/or cambion, I would greatly appreciate it.

04-26-04, 07:21 PM Alu-fiends and Cambions are the offspring of human-fiend matings. They are no longer official monsters as of 3.0, however you can easily simulate them. An Alu-fiend is a half-fiendish human sorcerer with heavy focus on Enchantment spells. A cambion is a half-fiendish human, usually with levels of fighter, barbarian, or ranger, who becomes a Blackguard as soon as he meets the prerequisites for that PrC.:devil:

04-29-04, 06:08 PM You might also want to check out the Half-Fiend template in the Monster Manual. While it doesn't produce replicas of the 2e cambions or alu-fiends, it does come somewhat close (well, not really, but what the hell).

04-29-04, 06:35 PM You might also check "Tome of Horrors" from Necromancer Games. I don't have a copy to see if they are in it, but it has lots of conversions of old 1e and 2e creatures that hadn't made the cut to 3e.

Officially, the half-fiend template substitutes the former alu-fiends and cambions as demon/devil & human offspring.

Yet, as this is a too general approach, me and a friend of mine created a succubus/erinye-offspring template more like the old AD&D alu-fiends with regards to stats as well as background. YOu may have a look at our template here (http://www.dnd-gate.de/gate3/page/index.php?id=125)
