I have decided to rerun one of my old campaigns for a new group. I the interest of not throwing down the exact same plot and monster set, I have decided to change one of the organizations the PCs cross swords with from lycanthropes (People of Black Blood from FR) to aberrations. Lycanthropy makes for a nice monster variety. However, I have gotten interested in Abberations recently, and i was wondering if there was a set or template of Aberrations in any of the monster books that would come close to the customizability that is allowed with lycanthropy. So far I haven't found any abberation templates with near the customizability that lycanthropes have. The one book i don't have is Lords of Madness. Is it worth picking up? Are there any new monsters in there that could fill a unified minor organization for the PCs to fight? Are there any templates(in any of the monster books that automatically make the creature an aberration? Any advice would be helpful
