Just recently I found a whole stack of my old MAXX comic books back from the ancient "nineties". Man, that comic was the best freakin' comic in the whole Image catalog back then (spawn was a close second and the savage dragon a distant third and everything else was EXACTLY THE SAME, but I'm not getting into that now) Anyway I was reading my old Maxx comics, chock full of nostalgia when I realized, HEY I can bring my D+D group to a field trip to Pangea (the otherworldly grassland that the Maxx was King off)Then I realized that pangea was full of monsters and monsters in D+D need statistics... so who better to go to for help with said Monster statistics then... THE D+D monster board folk. Now Pangea, is full of bizarre creatures (Suessadons, Crabbits, Jumpslugs, Diactants, Airwhales, Dragonsnouted Mountain Giants, Embitaway ect.) but most iconic throughout the series... The Isz! Isz (the s is silent) Isz are small creatures resembling oversized soccer balls with large mouths stuffed with crooked, needly teeth, two long rubbery arms and two feet (that are connected to the body without any sort of legs) There are two varieties the stupid, good natured whie Isz, and the horrible malignant and cunning black isz. White Isz mutate into black isz when they are exposed to dark magic (in the comic they turned black when they were transfered thru the portal from pangea to our world thru Mr. Gone's (the villain) dark portals) Pictures of Isz And other NEAT-o Keen Maxx creatures can be found HERE (http://www.trueflint.com/Maxx/denizens.html#is) Other Isz Fun Facts Isz appear to humans (and demi humans) as whatever you dress them as. This isn't something so simple as an ilusion, Isz actually assume the manerisims and begin to think and talk like whatever they're dressed as. Isz are unnaturally tough for creatures of their size, however isz do have a weak spot, at the top of their "heads" striking this spot with even minimal force makes an isz turn to jelly Isz are phenomenal jumpers
