This is basically a dire cow. Stats are based off the bison and a 3rd party dire template (with some adjustments). Let me know what you think!

MAD COW
Huge Animal

Initiative: +1
Speed: 40 ft (8sq)
AC: 17 (-1 size, +7 natural armor, +1 dex), touch 10, flatfooted 16
Base Atk/Grapple;: +5/+15
Atk: Slam +13 (1d8+9) or Bite +13 (2d6+9)
Full Atk: Slame +13 (1d8+9) and Bite +13 (2d6+9)
Space/Reach: 15ft/10ft
Special atks: Stampede (Reflex DC 21, 1d12 per 3 mad cows)
Special qualities: low-light vision, scent, tremorsense
Saves: Fort +8, Ref +5, Will +1
Abilities: Str 26, Dex 12, Con 18, Int 4, Wis 11, Cha 4
Skills: Listen +7, Spot +5
Feats: Alertness, Endurance
CR: 5

These cows are obviously out of the ordinary. They're larger than the average cow, and there's a tiny light of madness in their eyes. They're not mooing, either, but slowly chewing their cud and regarding you intensely.

They're larger than a buffalo and weigh roughly 2 tons. Their shoulders and hips have bony protrusions. Tiny little bone spikes dot the bridge of their snouts and line their brows.

Any advice or changes you think I should make? This is my first attempt at a "created" monster.

I did a Google search for dire templates, I think, using the boards1.wizards.com parameters.

There isn't one in any core material, but there is one from a third party publisher. Mongoose possibly? Technically, I could increase more of its stats since a dire animal is only described as being more powerful and fierce than its normal counterpart.

In any case, I have since added the fiendish template to the Mad Cow for storyline reasons. Nastiest cow you have ever seen!
