Animal advancement to Large [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-27-04, 10:29 PM This is a pretty simple question. My 4th lvl Druid has a wolf for his animal companion. Because I am 4th lvl, my wolf gains 2 bonus HD, making it 4. Now under "wolf" it says that 3 or less HD=Medium and 4 HD=Large, so would I be correct in assuming my wolf is now large?

02-27-04, 10:39 PM The general consensus on this is no, because it would make the animals too powerful. Best I remember someone sent in an e-mail to WotC customer support (or asked the Sage, I forget), and got the same answer.
