Animal Homoculi! [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-28-06, 10:56 PM Would it be possible to create an homoculi in the shape of a animal? The regular one in the MM (not the ones in Ebberon)?

08-28-06, 11:00 PM It never says that the homunculi have to be a certain shape, so I'd assume you could create one in the shape of an animal. I'd check with your DM about abilities and attacks, though.

P.S. You might want to check out the Effigy template from CArc. It's a construt template for strictly animals, and they can serve as familiars.

EDIT: Okay, it can be added to other types too. My memory is bad. Types are: abberation, animal, dragon, giant, humanoid, magical beast, monstrous humanoid, or vermin. I just remembered the sample creature, which was a Lion Effigy.

08-28-06, 11:26 PM personally, I don't know why anyone would make a homonculus look like it looks in the MM. that thing is friggin ugly. make it look however you want it to look.
