| Ukkic05-22-07, 09:05 PM | there is a miniture of an anamated balista, its called an Arcane Balista or something, are there stats for it anywhere? ~Ukkic |
| Teron Gorefiend05-23-07, 12:13 AM | If I'm not mistaken, each D&D miniature comes with a card that has its skirmish game stats on one side and its RPG stats on the other. That said, if I recall correctly, the arcane ballista is not animate. In the skirmish game, it requires an adjacent mini to fire it, and I assume the D&D version must be a magic item rather than a creature. |
| Warforged Goblin05-23-07, 06:48 AM | Unless you build "arms" onto the baliista then animate, you're going to need to have someone load after it fires. Luckily it can move the winch back on its own, possibly cutting the time needed between shots in half. |
| Ukkic05-23-07, 04:21 PM | alright thanks, the face made me think it was animated, my mistake. ~Ukkic |
| DeadEye1905-24-07, 04:27 AM | Well I'm not giving up on the animated ballisa idea. Probably would get chopped in melee (even though it could still attack), but all animated objects do. It's rather large and on wheels, facts that would make it stronger. And I agree with Warforged Goblin on that it it should be reloaded faster, since no effort is needed to pull it. As for reloading, just say that "another missile appears". Hey, it worked on Age of Empires:D |
