| Cryos, Icy Manipulator03-18-08, 02:58 PM | Hi, I'm making a dungeon crawl atm and I was looking into making some statues come to life and attack the party. I was wondering where I can find statistics for said animated statues. I was looking through all three MMs and the closest I found was an Animated Object, but its not what I'm looking for. Basically I want a humanoid creature made of stone. There are a total of 4-5 statues that will come to life. I was thinking that the closest I can come to what I want is to make them like a PC with the PC's abilities, but add Construct Traits. I would make the PC's mimc that of the player's (excluding prestige class if the prestige class would be too complicated) However, I was wondering what the CR of a contruct PC would be. Should I have feats for the PC? As a background, the players will be lv 12 and I want the ending CR to be 11. |

| Dead_Weasel03-18-08, 07:26 PM | Something like this, perhaps? Nemesis Statue Medium Construct Hit Dice: 9d10+28 (77 hp) Initiative: +3 Speed: 30' (6 squares) Armor Class: 20 (+3 Dex, +7 natural), touch 13, flat-footed 17 Base Attack/Grapple: +6/+9 Attack: Slam +9 melee (2d8+3) Full Attack: 2 slams +9 melee (2d8+3) Space/Reach: 5'/5' Special Attacks: - Special Qualities: Construct traits, DR 10/silver and magic, darkvision 60', opposition Saves: Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5 Abilities: Str 16, Dex 16, Con -, Int 6, Wis 16, Cha 1 Skills: Hide +7, Listen +9, Spot +9 Feats: Alertness, Eschew Materials, Improved Natural Attack, Improved Toughness Climate/Terrain: Any Organization: Group (3-6) Challenge Rating: 9? Treasure: None Alignment: Always neutral Advancement: - Level Adjustment: - Combat Opposition (Su): A nemesis statue can assume the class-based abilities of any humanoid within 60' it can see by concentrating for a full round. A nemesis statue gains the abilities of the target's earliest six base class levels. The nemesis statue does not gain any class abilities from prestige classes, nor does it receive racial abilities or feats a creature gained through Hit Dice. It receives the same benefits as the target from 'variable' class abilities (such as a Fighter's bonus feats, a Sorcerer's spells known, or a Wizard's memorized spells). A nemesis statue uses its Wisdom score to determine the DCs of spells, spell-like, supernatural and psionic abilities, and receives only the memorized spells, available spell slots, or unexpended power points as the target possessed when the nemesis statue used opposition on it. This ability lasts as long as the statue remains within 60' of the target, until the statue is destroyed, or until the target is killed. |

| zaku41k03-26-08, 01:01 AM | Well, you can try modifying Runic Guardians (CR 10) from MM2. |
