Annihilation creatures- based off the sphere of annihilation, basically an intelligent sphere of annihilation in the shape of a certain creature, has the same look as the base creature but it can turn its body black and then suck things into it like a sphere of annihilation.

Also the annihilation dragon was a thought I had that I may get to working on eventually but if someone wants to do it then feel free to.

Annihilation Creature

Annihilation is a template that can be applied to any creature (hereafter referred to as the "base creature"). The creatures type doesnt change unless the base creature is an animal or vermin, then the type changes to magical beast. It uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except where noted here.

Size: Same as base creature.
Hit dice and Hit points: Same as base creature.?
initiative: Same as base creature.?
Speed: +20ft land speed
Armor Class: same as base creature
Base Attack/Grapple: same as base creature,
Attack and Full Attack: same as base creature,
Damage: same as base creature
Space/Reach: same as base creature
Special Attacks: Annihilation
Special Qualities:
Base Saves: same as base creature
Abilities: +4 Dex, +2 Int, -4 Wis
Skills: Same as base creature.?
Feats: Same as base creature.?
Enviroment: same as base creature
Organization: same as base creature
Challenge Rating: +6?
Treasure: same as base creature
Alignment: usually neutral
Advancement: same as base creature
Level Adjustment: +6?

Annihilation (Su): An annihilation creature has the ability to shift its entire coloration to the bleek blackness of nothingness and create a suction within 5 feet of the creature dragging any creatures that fail ther reflex save (DC 10+CON) around it into it and sending them to either a random plane(10%) or more likely, obliterating them from existence(90%), those that fail the reflex save still take 10d6 damage. This ability works the same as the Sphere of Anihilation (DMG), at will every 1d6 rounds. Each time this ability is used the creature runs the risk of being sucked into itself(2%chance each time it uses this power) as well as any creatures within 20 feet leaving behind a loud 'pop' noise that deals 2d6 points of sonic damage to anyone within 50 feet of the annihilation creature. If the creature is sucked into itself then it will either be sent to a random plane(70%) or be obliterated(30%).

Thanks for any feedback on this. Let me know what I can do to improve this. Thanks again.

I particularly love the part about the "pop" noise.

Is there a reflex save to avoid the annihilation? if so, what DC and what does the creature use to determine it?

You may want to add that animals and vermin who get this template are magical beasts.

Other than that, I like it.

Weel, its based off the sphere of annihilation and I dont see a save for that. I have no idea how to work the saves so if anybody has any ideas for this, I'd be grateful.

I'll add that bit about animals and vermin becoming magical beasts.

Glad you like it.

The CR increase is to low for the ability offered. The Annihalation ability is powerful

The SOA rely's on hitting a creature. for a creature to use an attack like that, it's gotta be able to hit something, perhaps let it use a touch atack to try annihilation. Keep in mind that almost anything can make a touch attack against even a great wyrm dragon. This means that the crutter can kill almost ANYTHING. I'd say give its attack a reflex save to get outta the way, and if it fails, poof. maybe even if you save you take 10d6 damage?

Yeh I figured the CR was too low. Not sure what to put it at though.

I think I'll do the reflex save based on dexterity or constitution and it'll still deal 10d6 damage if you fail the save. As I said I have no idea how to work the saves other than say whether its reflex, fort, or will and then say which ability score its based off of. So far its a reflex save based off of dexterity.

What i mean is, for a dragons breath, they get to add their CON modifier to the DC, maybe add HALF of your critetrs CON to the DC.

By the way, you haven't posted in krede's cafe for quite a while...... Oh well.

Ah ok, that makes sense then. Adding half the base creature's Con to the save works, does save DC 25 sound ok?

I wait until Aya has a chance to post then we post together. The way you guys have been going lately though with posting so fast and so often, I havent even bothered to read it lately. We'll probably post some time this weekend. Why do you ask, has someone talked to me or her?

I ask just cause you've got some interesting characters.

as for the DC 25 Reflex save, i have to ask how you got that, is the base DC 10+HD+1/2CON? if so, it may make larger things with this template GODLY powerful. You should work on making a base DC first then worry about the other things. CR is kinda the very last thing to worry about.

Thanks for the compliment on my characters.

As for where I got 25, I just said it. I dont play with any game mechinics so its all new to me. I just post these ideas and halfway stat them so that other people can have at least something to work off of when they need one of theses ideas.

Since DC 10+HD+1/2CON would be too powerful how about DC 10+CON, taking out the HD part and adding the full CON instead of half?

That'd prolly be reasonable. I'm no good at estimating CR's though.

Someone else may be able to do it. By the way, you're welcome.
