all hydras have fast healing now (and in effect are lernaean).
the tarrasque's rush ability remains.

I'm very annoyed by the Fiends in 3.5: they're just too tough for their CR, and you'll almost never get any spells that require a fortitude save to work(thanks to their high constitution modifiers and good base fortitude saves). Their strength score goes far beyond you're party's fighter. And, on top of being uber combatanants, most cast spells that are on par with the spells your spellcasters have. Honestly, I think they souped these guys enough to make even dragons worry!

I don't think they do (at least not among the lawful evil fiends). Meteor swarm 1/day for pit fiends and charm monster for erinyes are the only spells I can think of that devils use that are equivalent to the highest level spell a caster of the same CR would have. I'm sure that among demons the Balor has some 9th level (Sp) and I know that succubus also has charm monster, but I don't have time to look through right now and see what else they have.

I am, of course, excluding the greater teleport ability that most fiends have because it is basically just a guaranteed escape for them unless they have effective ranged attacks (most of them don't). It is almost never advantageous to give up a standard action in combat merely to relocate. If you are in a situation where you need desperately to get out, it is almost always the case that a full escape is necessary.

They made a good job. Fiends must be hard to kill. Check for example 3.0. They were punny nonsense doing 1d8+5 damage for CR15 back then. In 3.0 I had to rebuild them completely every time just to make sure that party will not stand and laugh for several rounds watching the little demon trying to scratch the fighter.

I'm not very fond of the 3.0/3.5 update of the Babau. Turned a powerful Greater demon into a wuss-demon. Eh, I still use them, cause I ain't got many scruples, plus I did my own conversion for whenever I run them again :)

The 3.5 Yugoloths are teh suxx0r!!!111 ;)

Oh yes, how very eloquent...much more explanatory than an actual REASONING as to why they are that way.

Things only suck as much as you want them to...

Some people just don't get some types of humor... Oh well.

Reasoning?
The updates are half-assed to begin with. The Ultroloth is much too low a CR for the role it plays in Fiendish politics. Its Int is much too low and its other stats are too low as well.
The Mezzoloth and Canoloth aren't bad, but the Nycaloth is also a bit too weak as well.

At least the pictures are cool.
