Anthropomorphic Bat [Archive] - Wizards Community

I was looking at the Anthropomorphic Bat. It's from the Savage Species. It's a 1HD creature with no LA and 1 HD. It's stat adjustments are: -4 str, -2 Cha and +6 wis. Has this been talked about before as a possible PC (druid or cleric due to the wisdom)?

02-28-05, 07:32 PM Yes, this has been discussed to great lengths both because on the topic of mental stat bonuses on a 0 LA character and as an argument for flight on a 0 LA character.

The character optimization boards suggest that this is the best race to play as a divine caster.

Everyone else suggests that this is a good reason to not try and assign LA based on some formula.
