Any good mind-probing monsters? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm designing an adventure in which the bad guys sent a monster to find and kill the local intelligence agency.

I figured the easiest way would be to have a monster that can probe the mind of its victims. Is there a critter, CR 10 or less, that can scan minds, or even better, eat the brain of their victims to gain their knowledge?
