| Tempest Stormwind07-26-06, 08:59 PM | Anyone know of any medium or small sized humanoids with either Climb or Fly speeds? Only one I know of is Avariele (and those don't exist in my world). - Syll From this wonderful resource (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=176246), courtesy of your local Character Optimization boards: The only flying humanoid other than the raptoran (which depends on hit dice) is the avariel. The only climbing one is the mountain spirit folk. If you're looking for more options, the Otherworldly feat from the FRCS turns you into a native outsider. |
| The Vorpal Tribble07-26-06, 08:59 PM | Raptorans in Races of the Wild? I believe their flying is tweaked, however. Yeah, you have to have 5 HD or so before you can really fly, which increases in efficiency as they gain HD. |
| Syllestrae07-26-06, 09:30 PM | It's for a doppelganger NPC... just seeing what kind of movement options he has. I'll write it off flying / climb speeds as a "no". |
| Shaggy_Shaggs07-26-06, 09:46 PM | The feat Starspawn in Lords of Madness provides a limited sort of flight (at will, but limited duration, and 1-round rest period required between flights). Downside is it requires two other Aberrant feats before you can have it. |
| sgt_mango07-27-06, 04:37 AM | This is only limited to your sourcebooks, really. With Races of the Wild, there's the raptorans. From Races of Dragon, there's the Dragon Wings 1st level feat. From the Planar handbook there's the Air Meplings (sure, it's only 10' a round, but it's something...) I think the earth meplings get a burrow speed... Or was that tremorsense? There's a race from Stormwrack that gets a glide speed... But a climb speed? perhaps a snakeblood? I'm pretty sure yuan-ti get climb speeds, but they're monstrous humanoids.... |
