Any Stone Constructs That Are Not Golems? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm looking for a construct, preferably made of stone, that is not a golem. I am looking to seriously threaten a group of low level people, but a golem is too powerful for my purposes (magic immunity, huge DR, immunity to some weapons, etc.).

My ideal construct would be around CR6, mindless, statue-like, and stone. I am willing to modify an existing creature if someone knows of something that sounds similar. I just don't want to create it from scratch if I can help it.

Thanks! :D

The Caryatid Column from the Fiend Folio, which is exactly CR 6.

There's also the Juggernaut from MM2, but I think it might be above your CR wishes.

Constructs

Caryatid Column: CR 6 (FF)
Maug: CR 3, advances by class levels. (FF)
Walking Wall: Advance to CR 6 (MH)

Templates

Dustform Creature: SS
Half-Golem (Clay or Stone): MMII

Hmm...found far less than i anticipated. Well i guess the criteria is kinda narrow. I'm sure there are more out there, someone will list more i'm sure.

I sure wish there were more stone golem variants like...

Sandstone Golem
Obsidian Golem
Limestone Golem
Jade Golem
Marble Golem

I dunno, just more variations for other environments. Because just taking a Stone Golem saying it's made of sandstone is lame.

Just use the Animated Object and call the object a stone statue. ;)

Even better, a Swarm of Aniamted Object Marble chessmen. :P

But yeah, a Huge Statue that's been animated is CR 5. Alternately, 3 Large Statues (CR 3 each) makes a CR 6 encounter. Remember to give them Hardness 8 (for Stone).

Thanks for all your suggestions! Caryatid Column sounds interesting, but I don't have FF, so that's out I guess. I think I'll take a stab at creating a stone construct from scratch. It'll be exactly what I want then anyways. Thx again :)
