Non-deity version is in Manual of the Planes.
Deity version is in Deities & Demigods.
Bahamut is also in those two books.

Their non-deity incarnations also appear in Dragon 272.

Are you planning on having her make an apperance in the world?

that sounds like fun. Right now I am running a game that is heavily draconic, one of the players is a half-gold dragon Cleric of Bahamut/Platinum Knight and one of the other players just took a class in cleric of Bahamut. Of couse SHE OF MANY COLORS AND OF NONE will make an apperance of sorts.

Isn't Tahksis from Dragonlance supposed to be related to Tiamat? Daughter, or younger sister, or something?

Wouldn't Paladine be related to Bahamut about the same way?

Some people say they are the same, others say (including the creator of dragonlance) that there is no relation between them and I agree.

planescape filed the 4 as seperate entities, though the similarities did cause quite a stir amoung theologians on the planes. most seem to agree that Dragonlance, being a dragon filled world, the two greater deities sometimes choose the forms of the dragonic lesser deities of their alignment as "creator" deities of the respective dragonic races. both tahkisis and paladin DO have other humanoid forms (though tiamat in Forgotten Realms seems ironically like tahkisis) AND most importantly, bahumat and tiamat do not exist in the Dragonlance pantheon ...

but its all so confusing!!! ah the problems with planes-hoping adventures!

if your PCs are going to be stuck in a certain campaign setting and not hoping from Dragonlance to Forgotten Realms, etc. i would choose one and stick with it... you are the DM, you ultimatley decide what's what and where's where.

as for me, i adhere to the planescape mythos behind them... just to be safe ;)

I KNOW they're not the same, it just seems that they might be related; for example, Paladine being Bahamut's son or younger brother.
